Brindisi, 23.06.2026. For the first edition of Appia Wine, the event organised by the Municipality of Brindisi together with the Fondazione Nuovo Teatro Verdi and in collaboration with AIS Puglia, scheduled to take place in Brindisi on 26 and 27 June 2026, the Appia Wine Road Association will contribute through the activities most closely connected with its mission: welcoming visitors to its member wineries, participating in the conference and maintaining a collective presence during the evening events.
Established to enhance the wine, cultural and landscape heritage of the final section of the Ancient Appian Way, now recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Appia Wine Road’s member wineries will open their doors by reservation during the two-day event to welcome visitors and wine enthusiasts. This will offer participants the opportunity to discover the area’s wine producers and the close relationship between wine, the Via Appia and Brindisi’s rural identity.
The opportunity to visit the wineries during the morning and afternoon is intended to enrich the overall experience of participants, encouraging them to spend more time exploring both the city and the surrounding area. In this way, the evening events will be complemented by visits and tastings that connect the centre of Brindisi with the wine-producing landscape around it.
Appia Wine Road will also contribute to the conference organised by AIS Puglia, entitled “Communicating Wine, Creating Value, Promoting Territories,” by sharing its experience of the role played by wine businesses in territorial marketing and the need to build a shared narrative. The conference will provide an opportunity for the Association to present its development as a project founded on collaboration among wineries united by the awareness that a territory becomes stronger when it stops communicating in a fragmented way and begins to recognise itself as an interconnected system.
During the evening events, Appia Wine Road will be present with a collective space displaying the Association’s brand, designed to present the project and its member wineries as a unified whole. This presence reflects the intention to promote a shared vision of Brindisi’s wine landscape and the businesses that represent it.

Appia Wine Road is the association that brings together wineries in the Brindisi area connected with the final section of the Ancient Appian Way. The Association was established to enhance the area’s wine, cultural and landscape heritage by promoting joint initiatives, wine-tourism itineraries, cultural events and shared communication projects.
