Cantina Botrugno
Overlooking the port of Brindisi, at the end of the Appian Way and with a view of the Castello di Terra, this historic winery tells a story of centuries of travel, tradition, and identity. The Botrugno family produces DOC Brindisi and IGT Salento wines from organically grown grapes in their own vineyards, enhancing the region’s native grape varieties. From vineyard to bottle, every detail is handled directly by the family, combining authenticity, quality and contemporary elegance.
Cantine Risveglio
Founded in 1960 in Brindisi, Cantine Risveglio is a cooperative bringing together winegrowers committed to preserving the rural landscape and promoting local tradition. Located along the Appian Way (SS7), a natural continuation of the ancient Roman road, it serves as a link between the Adriatic port and the agricultural hinterland. From the members’ vineyards come DOC and IGT wines that express the richness of Brindisi’s soils, with a particular focus on Negroamaro and Susumaniello and a style that is fresh, balanced and authentically Mediterranean—also enriched by traditional method sparkling wines.
Masseria Incantalupi
Founded in 1948, Masseria Incantalupi was born from the vision of Antonio and Lorenzo Cinquepalmi, who enhanced these lands by planting the first vineyards of Negroamaro, Primitivo, and Malvasia Nera. Among the palmento and capasoni, an authentic tradition took shape—one that has been passed down through generations and is now carried forward by the Bruno family. Immersed in a landscape rich with history and memory, the masseria continues to tell the story of the territory through distinctive wines, deeply connected to the millennia-old culture of the Appian Way.
Masseria Masciullo
A few kilometers from Brindisi, Cantina Masciullo is the estate of the Zullo family, set within a 17th-century masseria surrounded by vineyards rooted in limestone and clay soils. Negroamaro leads the production, alongside native varieties such as Susumaniello, Verdeca and Primitivo, all cultivated and vinified directly by the family. Located along one of the possible final routes of the Appian Way, the masseria preserves traces of Roman presence, telling through its wines a millennia-old story of territory and tradition.
Tenute Bellamarina
Tenute Bellamarina is a family-run organic winery located on the lands of the historic masseria of the same name in Torre Santa Susanna, just a short distance from the ancient Appian Way and along a historical route that once connected important Messapian centers. The vineyards extend over 70 hectares of iron-rich red clay soils, within a Mediterranean microclimate ideal for balanced ripening. Here, native varieties such as Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Fiano give life to wines that express the territory, shaped by millennia of history, landscape and rural culture.
Tenute Lu Spada
Tenute Lu Spada is an organic winery founded in 2015 with the aim of regenerating an area of great historical and landscape value, now restored to the territory. Located in Brindisi, between Lake Cillarese and the Adriatic Sea, it benefits from a unique microclimate and promotes a sustainable model attentive to biodiversity and the environment. Along the final stretch of the Appian Way, the vineyards host native varieties such as Negroamaro, Susumaniello, and Malvasia Nera, giving rise to wines that express the meeting of tradition, territory and a contemporary vision.
Tenute Rubino
Tenute Rubino is a family-run winery with roots in Brindisi, established to enhance the native grape varieties of Salento, with a distinctive focus on Susumaniello. Its five estates, spread across different prime wine-growing areas of Puglia, express the richness of the region’s soils and microclimates. Among them, Jaddico embodies the connection with the Appian Way: located along the Via Traiana and marked by Roman archaeological traces, it tells the story of the meeting between millennia-old history, vineyard landscapes and a contemporary vision.
